Can you travel to (insert any location worldwide) for our wedding?
Yes, I enjoy travelling and I would love to be there for your wedding. I am an experienced traveller and have photographed weddings in Utah, Colorado, Vermont, California, New York, New Jersey, and Wisconsin. I try to make travel as affordable as possible, and I will include all of my travel
expenses in my quote when you contact me. I offer special travel discounts to much of Colorado, New England, and the New York metro area.
How much do you charge?
A la carte options for wedding photography start at $2750; complete packages with hand made albums start at $3500. Please contact me for a detailed price list.
How can we reserve you for our wedding date?
I can only reserve a date with a signed agreement and first payment, so get in touch with me
to set up a meeting soon.
How early do we need to book you?
I have been booked for weddings over a year in advance, so if you are interested in having me photograph your wedding, you should contact me me as soon as possible, I would love to meet with you to discuss your wedding any time.
Do you bring an assistant or second photographer?
I bring an assistant along to all but the most intimate weddings. My assistant is primarily there to support me and provide additional lighting, but sometimes acts as a second photographer.
What do you REALLY like to photograph?
I hear this question all the time at weddings! I truly enjoy photographing weddings - there is so much variety that it never gets boring for me. I also enjoy working on documentary projects and other personal projects as well. Take a look at my blog to see some of my other work.
Will Michael Tallman be the photographer at my wedding?
Of course! Otherwise why would I call it "Michael Tallman Photography"?
What happens if your camera breaks at the wedding?
I use one of my backup cameras - I bring backups for every tool I use. I have been there and done that!
What happens if your computer crashes or your studio is burglarized? Will our pictures be lost foerver?
I always have at least three copies of your images - two in the studio and one off site backup, so no worries!
What happens if you get sick and are unable to photograph our wedding?
I would have to be REALLY sick to miss your wedding - but if for some reason they won't let me out of the hospital, I do network with many photographers both locally and nationally so I would find a suitable replacement for myself.
How many photographs do you provide from a wedding?
Typically I provide several hundred images from an all day wedding. More important to me is how many times you will look at your album over the next 50 years or how many times will your pictures give you goosebumps. My goal is to make images with depth that tell a story - one great picture can be worth more than 20 good pictures.
Do you provide the pictures from the wedding on a disc?
All weddings include a disc of images sized for screen viewing for you to enjoy on your computer, send to your friends and family, and post on facebook. A DVD of the full resolution files that can be used for printing is an optional purchase that can be included with your wedding photography package or purchased at a later date.
