Adrianne was sporting a secret Red Sox garter for Matthew during their ceremony at Log Haven in the mountains east of Salt Lake City, Utah. The long nights of July are perfect for a reception out on the patio at Log Haven and Mill Creek Canyon is a great place to escape the heat of the valley. I also photographed Adrianne’s sister Whitney’s wedding to Ross a few years ago, and it is always so fun to do pictures for the same family again!

I photographed Jennie and Jason in the wild grass of the open space behind their home in Heber, Utah with Mount Timpanogas in the background. A mild storm provided some nice light and a little bit of rain for us. Also pictured are their dogs in order of appearance: Boo, Figgy, Cinder, and Churchill. I will be photographing Jennie and Jason’s wedding at Deer Valley Resort in September.

Dana and Frank had a beautiful wedding ceremony right on Lake Charlevoix, followed up by reception at the Dhaseleer Events Barn. This was my first trip to Michigan, and it turned out to be a gorgeous weekend. Dana and Frank (mostly Dana!) incorporated a lot of personal touches such as the scrabble neck tie clips for the groomsmen – Frank actually proposed to Dana by hiding the engagement ring in the letter bag during a game of scrabble. I was a big fan of the late night hot dog bar – a hot dog and a Bell’s Two Hearted Pale Ale hit the spot for me after close to ten hours of shooting!

Jenny and Jake brought their tandem bicycle up to Park City for their engagement shoot. Getting the extra long bike into their car was quite an effort but worth it to escape the heat of Salt Lake City. I will be photographing their wedding this October at Sundance Resort.
