Caitlin & Matt’s Engagment Session – New York, NY

I have been travelling all over the place in the last few weeks and as a result I am a few shoots behind in my blogging.  In the last couple of weeks I have flown to San Diego to shoot a beautiful wedding with Erin, and driven to Oregon for Thanksgiving.  Caitlin, Matt and I met up a few weeks ago in Manhattan for their engagement session.  I was there for the Photo+ expo, a big trade show for photographers and the industry.  I love to visit New York City, but I always have a long list of things I want to do and not enough time for most of it.  We met at one of my favorite places to go – The Metropolitan Museum of Art.  As a kid I would sulk as my mother would drag me there, but now it is the first place I want to go when I am in the city.  I found out later that Caitlin and Matt’s first date included some time at an art museum, which makes those pictures a little bit more appropriate.  We made our way into Central Park from there.  There were thousands of pumpkins being set up in the park for the pumpkin festival!

What a fun place to shoot!  It was threatening to rain while we were shooting, but it held off until we were done.  Caitlin and Matt are having their wedding next summer in Vermont.  I photographed Caitlin’s brother Greg’s wedding the summer before last, so it will be fun to see her family again.
